Visualite College is offering certificate and diploma courses in Video editing and VFX, for a period of 2-months and 6-months respectively, in Chennai for all those who are passionate about joining the film industry. We are affiliated to the Council for Vocational Education and Skill Development (CVESD) Licensed from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The Certificate in Video editing and Diploma in film video editing classes are conducted Offline and Online as weekday and weekend classes.

Starting with linear film editing up to the latest Digital non linear editing techniques, this course covers it all by giving students coaching in the latest softwares. Basics of sound editing is also taught to give the students a holistic understanding of audio visual syncing to make a good film. By the end of the course you will be able to edit your footage and create your own videos whether it is a short film, you tube broadcasting video, wedding traditional, cinematic videos, Television shows and serials or feature films.

About

A person who cuts your story into pieces, manipulates data, using different tools and finally brings out a beautiful masterpiece of your work, he/she is the editor of the project. If you’re a perfectionist by nature, then there is no better option for you than becoming an editor. Editing gives perfection in everything it touches and gives admiration to everyone.

A director might direct a film but as short scenes in different sequences and not as a whole. But we watch it in a sequential manner without any disorientation in the film. This comes under the creative and technical part of the post-production stage of filmmaking. Now, the film / video editor comes into play. He works with the raw footage in different sequences. So, he first selects the shots that are apt and then organises them into a coherent sequence by merging the shots in such a way that the viewers can not feel the discontinuity in the video, this creates a completed motion picture. He also selects the apt sound effects that should go hand-in-hand with the video.

VFX (Visual Effects) is also a form of editing but it uses more advanced techniques and applications. In a normal video editing, the editor just edits what’s there, like cutting out unnecessary footage, merging them, the colour contrast, brightness, hue etc. but a VFX editor, as the name conveys, adds extra Visual Effects which are not shot in the original video like the angels and demons present in a horror film. Unlike CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) it does not create any new character or motion, instead it uses an existing picture or film in order to add effects and enhance it.
